March 2016

Kids' Club News

Due to the weather change, we have been spending more time indoors. We have homework room almost everyday and the children take full advantage of that! Please make sure children are being sent with their snow boots, snow pants, gloves and hats so that we are still able to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible!

The gym and computer lab are very popular among the children. They take turns going from gym to computer lab depending on space and time. During computer lab the children have been playing educational games or using that time to do homework that involves the computer. In gym the children are learning group games and are learning sportsmanship and team building. We are making the best of our spaces and getting outside as much as possible!

March is Reading Month!

Throughout the month of March we will be collecting books for children in the First Step Program. The books must be new, non-violent and for any ages (infancy through 5th grade). At the end of the month, they will be taken to a local First Step Office. If you are interested, we will be decorating a box to collect any donations. We thank you all in advance for your help and support!

First Step is a program to help families in situations of domestic and sexual violence. While families are seeking assistance, children are provided with materials, toys and books for fun and calming play.
