BeRPM
- Be Resilient: You will continue to be faced with challenges, some larger than others. Some may knock you down, but don't stay there. Get up and get back in the game.
- Be Consistent in reviewing expectations and holding students accountable.
- Be Relational: Have consistent positive parent communication: By the end of this week teachers, if you have not done so already, you should have made contact with the parents/guardians of every student.
- Be Diligent: Maintain grading and attendance by ensure that policies and protocol are being followed daily.
- Be Purposeful: Plan purposeful lessons through the careful use of your planning tools, analyzing data, review you rubric companion, and reflect regularly. Ask what went well, and what didn't go so well. Then make the necessary adjustments.
- Be Collaborative: Continue to collaborate and work together. You have been phenomenal so far, and if you continue, we can only get better.
- Be Graceful: do what's necessary, but allow yourself the opportunity to make mistakes, because they will happen. Learn from them and grow.
Most importantly this week, know that I am even more proud than I was last week to be associated with such a dynamic group of educators. Keep thriving! #BeRPM

Move This World @Home
Families can now access the Move This World curriculum. Please encourage them to include these activities in their family time at home. The following letter was sent to parents:
Dear Parks Families,
We know that the events of this year have been difficult to navigate. To support our students’ social emotional needs and mental health, we are using a video-based social emotional learning (SEL) curriculum from Move This World. I’m excited to share that you’ll be able to access this helpful curriculum at home, too!
Social emotional learning is how students learn to process and manage emotions as well as important social skills. It includes everything from goal setting to stress management, and it provides both children and adults with tools they can use to express themselves authentically and safely. SEL helps students build healthy relationships, communicate effectively, and live a meaningful life.
Below, you’ll find log in instructions:

Practicing social emotional learning at home can help your students:
Process the events of this year.
Build critical social skills.
Connect with themselves and others.
Navigate challenges they may be experiencing.
Adjust to the new school year.
Move This World is a social emotional learning program delivered through an extensive online library of PreK-12 videos and resources rooted in creative expression that help students, teachers and staff develop a common language to improve communication and build trust. We’re so glad that you’ll be able to access Move This World videos and resources at home, and hope they are helpful for your student and family.

“A hundred years from now it will not matter, what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove; but the world would be different because I was important in the life of a child.”
