GRANGER ISD BOARD OF TRUSTEES CALLS FOR SCHOOL BOARD GENERAL ELECTION
On January 11, 2023, the Granger ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to call for an order for a Board Election to fill the expired terms of Daryl Stefek, Sandra Carpenter, and Peter Reese on the first Saturday of May (May 6, 2023), and the Trustee Election will be held in and for the Granger Independent School District. It was necessary for the Board of Trustees to pass an order establishing procedures for filing and conducting the elections.
Therefore, the Board of Trustees of Granger Independent School District ordered that the election be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the location designated by the Williamson County Elections Administrator from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. The purpose of this election is to elect three (3) members to the Board of Trustees for three (3) year terms. The polls will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. All requests/applications by candidates to have their name placed on the ballot for the election shall be filed in writing with the Superintendent’s Secretary, not later than 5:00 p.m., February 17, 2023. The Williamson County Election Department will provide the election judge and alternates.
The first day to file for a place on the General Election ballot is Wednesday, January 18, 2023, and the last day to file for a place on the General Election Ballot is Friday, February 17, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.
Applications may be picked up in the Granger ISD High School Office.
Weather Watch
*UPDATE:
Due to current and forecasted weather conditions, Granger ISD will be closed Tuesday, January 31st and plans to have a late start of 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 1st, 2023. If an additional full day closure for Wednesday is needed, a decision will be released by 2:00 PM on Tuesday. Bus Transportation services will plan to run 2 hours later than normal pickup times. Please stay tuned for the most up-to-date information by visiting the GISD school website. Stay warm, stay safe.

Last Wednesday night 14 Granger Band Students auditioned for the Central Texas Honor Band and a record 5 students made spots in the bands.
