Ducks should have beat the Buckeyes
"If one is successful, the entire state is" - Marcus Mariota
Are you a college football fan? Did you watch the national title? If yes, this article is for you. The game on the 12th was good but unlucky. Marcus Mariota, Oregon's quarter back was missing a few keys. 3 star wide receivers missed this game. 2 of them due to injuries, 1 because of drugs. If these star players had been there the game may have been a bit different. Ohio state quarter back, Cardale Jones, had a 60% passing completion as Mariota had a 68%. This could have changed the game by completing more passes to his most targeted recievers.
Bralon Addison
Star Wide Reciever, out do to an injury pre-season. Bralon Addison was expected to be the number one Reciever in the 2014-2015 college football season. After tearing his ACL in pre-season practices, the star wide reciever had a chance to red shirt (take the year off s it does not count on his years of eligibility), but in high hopes of returning he turned this down. Although this decision, he never made it back onto the field. Addison struggles to focus in class because to this college star, football is his whole life. His relationship with the team has been falling because he can't be out on the field with them.
Darren Carrington
One of the best wide receivers on the Oregon Ducks. "Darren Carrington had great chemistry with Marcus Mariota--he caught the second highest percentage of his targets on the team, plus Mariota targeted him deeper down the field than any other Oregon pass-catcher" -Mark Schlabach. Carrington , Oregon's deep threat wide Reciever, was suspended Saturday morning, January 9th. The Duck's star tested positive for marijuana in the NCAA pre-championship drug test. Carrington did not make the trip to Texas for the shot at the National Title.
Devon Allen
Devon Allen, Oregon's wide Reciever and kick returner, left the Rose Bowl game between the Oregon Ducks and the Florida State Seminoles. After the opening kickoff, Allen, was on the ground after suffering a knee injury. He came back out in a wheel chair and a heavily bandaged knee. NCAA 110 meter hurdle defending champion Devin Allen will not be competing in the 2015 track season due to severe injuries in the knee. For this young man ,his athletic career as been screeched to a halt due to an unidentified right knee injury.
