Summer News
Hello Husky Families-
Last week the Board of Education approved District 100’s Return to School Road Map: Bringing BSD100 Back. Under this plan students will begin school on Monday, August 24th through remote learning. I encourage you to click this link for more information on the plan.
On behalf of the staff of Hiawatha I want you to know how much we miss seeing our students and families. However we also recognize the need to keep everyone safe during this time. I know this may be challenging for some students and families and not be the most ideal plan for everyone. I remain hopeful with the district's thorough plan we will all safely progress to returning to in person instruction as the guidance allows.
In order for us to be fully prepared for remote learning to begin in August, we need to ensure ALL students are registered. We need to make sure each child will be assigned to a class and make plans accordingly. If you have any questions regarding registration please email hiawathareg@bsd100.org and we would be happy to support you.
Please reach out to myself if you have any questions or concerns that I can help assist with. We are all in this together and I am happy to help.
Stay well!
Jodi Meyer

Summer Reading Program
We’d like to invite all families to participate in our summer reading program during June, July, and August. Families can sign up by clicking on the link below and downloading the reading logs from our Summer Reading website. We encourage students to read around 30 minutes each day. Younger children can read on their own, with an adult, or listen to audiobooks. Students who fill out the reading log can submit it each month to summerreading@bsd100.org.
Returning Student Registration 1st-8th grade 2020-2021
Registration is open for all returning students for the 2020-2021 school year. Please log in and complete your child’s registration online. Please look for registration codes in your email and visit our website for additional information. In order to effectively plan for class sections for next school year, we ask that all returning students complete the online registration this week. The entire process, including payment, can be completed online. If you prefer to pay in person at a later date, you will be able to select that option through the online registration process. All snap codes have been emailed out, please double check your spam/junk filter for these important emails. Any questions please email us at hiawathareg@bsd100.org
