A Message from Dr. Blount

Hutsell Families:

This is our last week of school for the 2019/2020 School Year. Thank you for your cooperation in picking up student belongings and returning district resources. We enjoyed exchanging waves and smiles as students and families drove around the bus ramp last week. If you did not pick up student belongings, there will be a final opportunity in August.

Nutrition & Food Service Department Updates

Thursday, May 21 is the last instructional day meal service so Thursday’s distribution will include Friday, May 22 meals too. The first week of summer food service, meals will be distributed Tuesday, May 26 through Friday, May 29. Beginning on Monday, June 1 through June 30, Katy ISD “Grab and Go” meals will be served Monday through Thursday from 9:00 -11:30 a.m. Meals that would have been distributed on Fridays will now be distributed on Thursday. This means that individuals picking up meals on Thursday will receive a two-day supply of meals that will include both Thursday and Friday food items.

Katy ISD’s “Grab and Go” meals distribution will discontinue at the following sites after May 21: Hutsell Elementary, Williams Elementary, Cinco Ranch High School, and Tompkins High School. A new Katy ISD distribution site will open up at the Opportunity Awareness Center (OAC) on Tuesday, May 26.

Be A Champion (BAC) curbside meal service will continue from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Morton Ranch High School. The organization will also begin providing free breakfast and lunch meal service at Bear Creek Elementary on May 26 through June 30 from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. BAC will follow the same Monday through Thursday meal service schedule as Katy ISD’s “Grab and Go” service and will include Friday meals with the Thursday meal distribution.

Have a great week and a safe summer!
