Thankful for You

We at Mars Hill are grateful for all of you--students, parents, grandparents, alumni, friends, and fans--who help make this school a great place to learn, live, work, and grow. Enjoy special times with your families next week "...always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ" (Ephesians 5:20).

Thanksgiving Help for Your Kitchen

We will be cooking turkeys, hams, and Boston butts for Thanksgiving on Wednesday, Nov. 25. All items will be $35 each. If you would like to purchase one or more, please call Mike Mitchell at 256-366-4081 or email mmitchell@mhbs.org. Meat will be ready for pickup at 3 pm Wednesday.

Media Center: Will You Help?

Help the media center purchase a special set of library books especially geared toward middle school interests. For every $20 you donate, a hardback AR book will be personalized for the Mars Hill collection. To donate, click here.

Child's World Insider's Guide to Pro Football is described here: Looking for new ways to engage reluctant readers? Students will love exploring these high-interest titles with fun topics, full-cover photographs, and cool facts. The collection of 32 titles includes Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens,and twenty-seven more.

If we can order that set, we will receive a free set of Extreme Sports, including Barefoot Waterskiing, Cliff Diving, Stand Up Paddleboarding, Personal Watercraft, and sixteen more.

National Honor Society Names Officers & Inductees

The National Honor Society officers for 2015-16 are President Coleman Burch, Vice President Hailey Chastain, Secretary Chase Thigpen, and Treasurer Jennah Abrams.

The induction ceremony will be December 9 and new inductees are Lakin Berry, Roxie Hipps, Colton Knox, Jolie Bates, Cara Berry, Sarah Henry, Allie Mitchell, Jude Owens, Hannah Pope, Chandler Ross, Sara Beth Searcy, Annah Steadman, and Seth Swinea.

Christmas Tour of Homes

The holidays are upon us, and we have a perfect way to get you in the spirit. The Mars Hill Band is sponsoring a Christmas Tour of Homes Sunday, December 6, from 2:00 until 4:00. Homes on the tour include the historic Larimore Home, Dr. and Mrs. Jody Hanson's home (1809 Mars Hill Rd.), Mr. and Mrs. Ty Watson's home (284 Crystal Springs Dr.) and Mr. and Mrs. Joey Krieger's home (960 Co. Rd. 46). Tickets are $10 each. Call 256-767-1203 Ext. 2035 for tickets.

2016 Mizpahs Now on Sale

Yearbooks are on sale! In order to get the best price, you need to place your order no later than December 18. Avoid price increases by ordering before deadlines listed below.

December 19-February 28--$70

March 1-April 30--$75

May 1-May 20--$80

You may send cash or a check made out to Mars Hill Bible School. Please include the student’s name and grade or use the order forms that were given to students at an earlier date. You may also order from the Mars Hill Bible School website. On the home page, click on the yearbook icon, and order your yearbook using a credit card. Please note that the company will charge you a $2.00 processing fee.
