Dewey Carter Elementary Weekly Update
From Mrs. Frazier's Desk
We are getting ready to begin our third week of Virtual Instruction and I must say our teachers and students are ROCKING it! Thank you for all your help and support in making sure that your children are online, completing assignments, and engaged in learning each day.
A few things are coming up this week. Monday January 18th there will be no school due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. Please encourage your children to take time to unplug from their chromebooks and enjoy the day. We will be back on Tuesday for our final week of virtual instruction.
Included in this newsletter is the survey for changing of instructional delivery method. If you wish to change your child's instructional delivery method please complete this form by Friday January, 22 at 4:00 pm. Students will be able to change between all 3 instructional methods: Virtual, A/B Cohort, and 5 Day Face to Face instruction. If you have questions about this please contact the school.
Lastly, Dewey Carter Elementary and Title One is hosting a Virtual Family Night on Thursday, January 28. Please see the flyer below for more information.
LinkIt Testing
Students will take ELA LinkIt on January 19th and take Math LinkIt on January 21st. Students will need to have a working camera to complete these assessments in our virtual setting. If your child's camera is not working, please contact the district tech help line to get it repaired to allow your child to complete their LinkIt assessment.
These assessments are used to determine your child’s instructional level and measure their academic growth throughout the school year.
