What are the library policies and procedures?
The library is open from 8:30-4:30 day unless there is campus wide testing, or extenuating circumstances.
Students may not eat or drink in the Library Computer Lab, though they may come during lunch. Students need to sign in to the Library Visitor Log every time they visit as an individual or small group.
Teachers can reserve a space in the library if the calendar space is available and scheduled classes will be given priority for utilizing the space. Teachers may send up to 4 students to the library at a time with a pass including date, time student name and activity they should be done.
How are classes scheduled to come to the library?
Teachers can view the library calendars and reserve the TJHS Library, Library Computer Lab and computer carts via the Jefferson HS Library website. Just click on an appointment slot on the appropriate calendar to reserve.
How can I find out about resources from the library?
You can access the library catalog from the Jefferson HS Library website, the Library Department webpage or the SAISD Single Sign On. From there you can log on with your SAISD credentials to browse and place items on hold. If you would like to add to the collection, please fill out this Google form so that appropriate items may be added to the next order.
