What function does it have in our body?

  • Vitamin B12 deficiency is relatively common, especially among older people.
  • Vitamin B12 deficiency is characterized by megaloblastic anemia, fatigue, weakness, constipation, loss of appetite, and weight loss
  • Difficulty maintaining balance, depression, confusion, dementia, poor memory, and soreness of the mouth or tongue
  • Large amounts of folic acid can mask the damaging effects of vitamin B12 deficiency
