January 2019
Welcome Back!
I am excited to start the second semester and see the AWESOME things that are in store for our students this winter and spring.
Please keep supporting your child's learning at home by reading every night. Even if it's for only 10 minutes, that time is very valuable to spend with your child. Not only for his or her development, but for the parents, too! As a father of a 21-year old and an 18-year old, I often wish for the days where my girls would crawl into my lap to listen to a book or beg for "just one more" story before bedtime!
The Adventures of a South Pole Pig
Books have been distributed along with a reading calendar and even the trivia questions are printed on the back!
Reminders....
Also, please do not pull into the small parking lot to the north of the school. There are a number of reasons for this: 1. This is for staff parking; 2. It is quite small and doesn't have much room to turn around in; 3. It doesn't get much sun and is prone to being very icy.
During pickup, please do not double park on Phillip Street! We ask that you get in "the pick up line" that can stretch around the block for a few minutes. As you sit in that pick up line, make sure to pull forward as cars depart. This allows you to pull ahead and let other vehicles in behind you.
