Hello from the Sevier PTA
Happy Friday Warrior Nation!
Almost every year before the Christmas holiday break, the KCS Family Resource Center and Homeless Education Program assist in providing holiday food assistance to some of our students/families in our district. Schools/PTA are invited to partner with them as a service project/opportunity for our students. The food that is collected supplements the students' diets while they are out of school for two weeks and not receiving free school meals. Many of our families find providing an additional 20 meals per student during the break to be a huge financial burden. If you are interested in donating please see the flyer below "December Food Drive'. Please note the food drive is actually occurring in November, but will be given to our families in December. There will be a box located in the office for donations. Please have items turned in by November 28th.
Also, PTA would like to give a huge shout out to all the people that made our first school dance of the year a huge success. There were many moving parts to make it happen, many people who made it happen and VERY happy students who were able to enjoy a great event!
We would like to take a minute to thank all the people who made this happen.
- Our community sponsors: Celfie, Kingsport Parks & Recreation, Healthy Kingsport and Dominos (Center Street location)
- Parents who donated from the Amazon wish list.
- All the parents, grandparents and family volunteers who sign up for a shift.
- Our SRO’s, Office Campbell and Office Huneing for keeping us all safe.
- Our AMAZING staff who always go above and beyond!
- The STEM Club for making awesome flyers!
- Mr. Domingo Hale for being our FANTASTIC DJ for the night.
- Finally and most importantly, our students for being so respectful and responsible. We look forward to providing you many more events like this! We are so proud of you all!
Thanks so much for all the support for our JSMS PTA. We truly appreciate it.
As always stay Warrior Proud!
~ JSMS PTA
