Panther Newsletter
November 6, 2020
a message from principal jensen
Dear Panther Families,
This afternoon our teachers will be spending the day analyzing student data, reviewing curriculum and preparing to schedule our very first virtual parent-teacher conferences the week of Nov. 16-19th. Unlike previous years, these conferences will be scheduled if teachers need to address areas of concern and ways school and home can work together to support learning.
In addition, parents are able to request a conference, however at this time we will be focusing on early intervention strategies for those students that need some additional support. We will plan to have our traditional parent-teacher conferences the week of Feb. 16-19, 2021.
We hope that you are having regular communication with your child’s teacher and are well aware of areas that you can support learning at home. We must show our children that parents and teachers working together to support learning is essential. This devoted collaboration displays ALL the virtues we teach our students at BFCS.
One of the best ways to support your child is to read together. Last month was National Book Month and our teachers focused on teaching our students to read for pleasure. Take the rainy weekend (we hope) to find a good children’s book (there are so many) and curl up in a blanket and read together.
Bring on the rain!!
Best Always,
Paula Jensen
Principal
