Good Monday to All!
I hope everyone had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather this past weekend. It is hard to believe this is the last week of the third grading quarter. The school year is moving quickly. In addition, this is a four-day school week for students—Spring Break begins on Friday, March 10th, with a Student Holiday and a Teacher RTI Day.
This week is National School Breakfast Week! I encourage all our students to begin their day of learning with a good breakfast. Our cafeterias prepare and offer daily grains, milk, lean protein, fruits, or vegetables. Let's eat, learn and have a day filled with Coyote pride with a healthy school breakfast!
March is also Music In Our Schools Month. The annual theme is "Music Is All of Us." Our district has a robust Music Program, beginning at our elementary campuses with music classes and evolving into specialty areas such as choir, mariachi, jazz, and so much more at our secondary campuses.
It is evident that our district has talented students with dedicated instructors. Uvalde High School student Ava Vaughan won first place in Fundamental Spreadsheets in the Business Professionals of America State Competition securing her a spot as a National Qualifier for the National BPA Competition. Uvalde High School Mariachi Los Coyotes made history, and for the first time in the program's history, the group earned a 1st Division Trophy. In addition, nine Uvalde High School Choir students have qualified to participate in the UIL Solo & Ensemble State Contest. Join our district in celebrating Music In Our Schools Month and the achievements of our talented students.
I am proud of our teachers, students, and staff for all their hard work and dedication. There are many great activities and learning taking place at our schools. I am thankful for all the support for our students and staff. Let's finish the third grading quarter strong as we prepare to enjoy Spring Break.

Career Fair
Batesville School hosted a Career Fair last week. The event showcased many career options with age appropriate presentations. The presentations were interactive and included information that is sure to leave a lasting impression on students. Thank you to all businesses and organizations that participated.
Students in Ms. Mansfield's class experienced learning in their transformed Sweet Shop classroom. Students modeled multiplication, division, and arrays with sweets. This will be a sweet lasting learning experience.
