If students maintain positive DOJO points at 85% or higher for the entire month, they are able to attend the DOJO party. Each month a different treat is given. In the past we've had pizza, cookie cake, and doughnuts. If you are interested in helping me purchase these special treats for future DOJO parties, please email me - chakin@atlanta.k12.ga.us

In addition, students earn DOJO cash. This allows them to purchase items from our store. Right now we have very few items remaining in our DOJO store. Of course, the first thing to go is usually candy, but kids also seem to love other small items like cool pens, stress balls, etc. If you'd like to send in items for our DOJO store, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

Beginning on January 15th, 5th grade students will report to the gym before school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This time will be used for mental and physical exercises as well as some time for independent reading, so students should make sure they have a book in their backpacks. At 7:55, homeroom teachers will pick up students. At this time, students will unpack and get ready for the day. We will let the students know about this change this week, so that they are ready the week of the 15th.
