MPS Fall Celebration
MPS traditionally has a fall celebration with students, which in years past has included a student parade outside of the school building. Parents and other spectators would gather on the sidewalks to watch with excitement. We would like to continue this tradition, to allow students the fun experience, however, we will be making changes due to the ongoing concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Friday, October 29, 2021, we will have an in-school fall celebration/parade for students. This will include an inside parade, for students and staff only, where students will parade the hallways of MPS to share in the fun of the fall season. This change will allow us to ensure the safety of all students and staff. We appreciate your understanding as we make this change. We hope to reinstate the outdoor parade next school year.
We are excited to offer this fun experience for students!
If you would like your child to participate in the parade in school, please send them to school in his/her costume. Please note the following:
All costumes should be school appropriate (no fake weapons of any kind)
Costumes should be able to be easily removed as students WILL change out of costumes after the parade
Please also consider putting the costume on over your child's clothes to allow for an easy transition back to school clothing for the day
Please do not send any breakable or valuable items
Children can participate in our fall parade with or without a costume
A face mask must still be worn at all times
Each grade level will also have a fall activity during the day!
