SUMMER PROJECTS 2023

Federal Lunch Reimbursements

The school board discussed the amount of money that the district currently receives for the Federal lunch program. It has been discussed by several board members whether the amount of funds the district receives is worth having to follow the restrictive guidelines for school lunch.

2021-2022 ($198,786.17) The meal program was free to all families during this school year, so the district's reimbursement rate was greater.

2022-2023 ($26,216.30) The district has averaged about $7000 per month. Superintendent Eldridge would estimate that the district's total reimbursements for this year will be about $58,000.

ACTION ITEMS

New Scoreboard

The East Butler School Board authorized the purchase of a new scoreboard. Superintendent Eldridge shared with the board that the district's current scoreboard in the gym has been touchy this school year. The High School volleyball team started the season with only one board working. Thanks to the maintenance department, they were able to get both boards working.

The total cost of the new scoreboard is $104,036. The purchase of this scoreboard will be paid for through local business donations.
