Aquin Catholic Schools 2016 Image Final Version Revised

Our 1st Commercial is Here!

Just before Christmas break, we made the decision to launch TV advertisements on WTVO TV, WQRF TV, My Network TV and Bounce Rockford to help spread the great news about Aquin and boost our enrollment at both campuses. These commercials will run on the networks respectively, be posted on their website and also provide direct links to our website.

We are proud to release the first video created last week with our students and teachers as the focus. As part of the advertisement package, WTVO's production team will make many spots for us. The next 2 commercials will be testimonials which were filmed at Aquin this morning and should be ready to air by the end of the week. When we have more information on the air dates/times and web links on the WTVO site, we'll let you know!

In the meantime, please share the links to these spots with your friends, co-workers and anyone you know who may be interested in joining the Aquin family.

Online registration for current and new students in 2016-17 begins February 1st!

Sophie is Player of the Week!

From ESPNW . . .

Editor's note: Charlie Creme, Graham Hays and Mechelle Voepel each vote to determine espnW's national player of the week, which is awarded every week of the women's college basketball season.

After her team nearly upset second-ranked South Carolina in late November, Arizona State coach Charlie Turner Thorne feared Sophie Brunner was lost for the season. The Sun Devils' leading scorer had left the court in a wheelchair after suffering an ankle injury.

Turner Thorne might never have been so happy to be wrong. While Brunner missed six games, the junior forward is back -- and Arizona State is 7-0 since her return.

Aquin Art in FAM 'Aspiring Artist' Show

Mark your calendar's for the Freeport Art Museum (FAM) 'Aspiring Artist' Show which will be up from February 5-March 5. This is an annual show which Aquin has not participated in for quite some time, but that is changing this year due to the efforts of Barry Treu, FAM's Director of Education. Eighty Aquin works of art, created by our kindergarten through 12th grade students, will be on display.

If you haven't checked out the work that Barry has been doing at FAM, visit their webpage or Facebook page today!
