In Danger Of Failing Email
Your student needs your help
Parents and Guardians,
We recently ran a grade report after the last Progress Report, and tonight we are asking for your help in supporting your child's academic and technical success. Your student has one or more classes in which they are in danger of failing. They need your help and attention to ensure that they pass. Please review the most recent Progress Report that was sent last week as well as check the Parent Portal (click here) to review how your student is doing. If you are receiving this email, your student has a D or lower on one or more of their current class and/or shop grades as of 11/5/19.
Your student needs to visit their teachers and find out what they can do to meet the expectations of their classes. They can stay for extra help, typically on Tuesday and or Thursday. Your student needs to confirm with their teacher(s) on which day they typically will stay after school. Otherwise we offer open teacher led support in ELA, math, and science. There is also Homework Zone which is offered every Tuesday and Thursday in the library from 2:30-4:30. Please see information below on how your student may access those supports. This is a general help session for all students.
