AMHS Ranked in the US & World News Best High School Rankings!!!

Arabia Mountain High School is ranked 63rd within Georgia. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Arabia Mountain High School is 56%. The total minority enrollment is 100%, and 53% of students are economically disadvantaged. Arabia Mountain High School is 1 of 27 high schools in DeKalb County.


Arabia Mountain High School is ranked #2,688 in the National Rankings. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation, and how well they prepare students for college.

AMHS Class of 2021 Graduation Rate Released!!!

The Arabia Mountain High School's four-year graduation rate for the Class of 2021 was released on Friday, October 22nd by the Georgia Department of Education. Arabia Mountain High School's Graduation rate is 98.81%. Arabia Mountain was one of four schools that graduation rate was above 95%. Arabia's grad rate was the highest of all high schools in DeKalb County!!!! Congratulations to the entire Arabia Community for your support and commitment to our students as they continue to pursue academic excellence. Way to go RAMS!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS to the AMHS Technology Student Association (TSA)

Recently, the Arabia Mountain High School Technology Student Association (TSA) participated in two leadership conferences, the Chapter Officer Retreat for Excellence and Georgia TSA Technology Day, and competed in the Vex Robotics Tournament. More than 50 students represented AMHS at these events, and several students brought home awards and recognitions. Congratulations, AMHS TSA! CLICK HERE for the complete press release.

SPRING 2021 HONORS DAY PROGRAM

Students, the Honor Roll Ceremony will be held on Nov. 9, 2021, at 9:00 am in the Theatre. Students currently in grades 10th-12th who earned all A's or all A's and B's for the Spring 2021 semester will be recognized. Students must be in assembly attire which includes navy AMHS blazer, Khaki or navy skirts or pants, or plaid skirt or skort. The Ceremony will be live-streamed for parents, faculty, staff, and student viewing. Thank you! Students, please check the honor roll student lists and use the QR code if your name is misspelled or if your name has been omitted. You will only need to complete the form once. Check your email to confirm that corrections have been made. The deadline is Oct. 29. See Dr. Rhone or a counselor if you have questions.

Student Success Academy

Greetings Ram Scholars,


Our school district has formed a partnership with the Students Success Academy. This virtual mentoring program provides students with their own success agent. The paired agent will assist your student with goal setting, academic support, career guidance, and adulting.


Registration is simple and there is no cost to parents or students. Please review the attached brochure for more information or contact your child's counselor for more information.

ATTENTION 9TH GRADE Parents and Students

DCSD has partnered with Emory University and the Atlanta Urban Debate Organization to provide a virtual series of informative college preparatory workshops to our 9th grade students. The initiative is "Illuminate: Navigating Your Path to College." We encourage our 9th grade students to participate. Please see the flyer below for more information.

INFINITE SCHOLARS- FREE COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP FAIR

The Infinite Scholars Program is hosting a Free-College Scholarship Fair beginning Monday, October 25th to Thursday, October 28th at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church (Bishop Long Family Life Center). VIRTUAL COLLEGE VISITS

Virtual College visits have begun. Please stop by the counseling office to sign-up to attend the virtual visits.

School Uniforms

Thank you for assisting us in maintaining the AMHS School Uniform Policy. The vast majority of our students are following the uniform policy. Please continue to remind your student to be in the appropriate school uniform daily. As a reminder, all students are expected to wear their navy Blazer each Monday for "Blazer Mondays." This is a required part of the AMHS uniform. Please review the uniform policy below with your student. Thank you in advance for assisting us with our uniform policy.

Need a Chromebook

New student Chromebooks were delivered and issued last week. If your student needs a Chromebook. Please complete the DCSD Chromebook User Agreement and return it to Mr. Burd (Paris_Burd@dekalbschoolsga.org). Once the user agreement is received, the student will be assigned a Chromebook. The user agreement form is linked below.
