Staying Connected
North Plaza Reopens
The Executive Council Middle Bucks Institute of Technology, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the completion of the north plaza during their November meeting. The north plaza project provides the MBIT community with a newly designed space to gather. The design was intentional to include more green space for collaboration.
MBIT Administrative Director, Dr. Mark Covelle says; “We are thrilled to open our newly renovated north plaza to our school community. The north plaza is part of a larger capital project to modernize and improve our building so that we can deliver another fifty years of world class career and technical education to the communities of Middle Bucks. We are grateful for the support of our Executive Committee and our four member districts: Centennial, Central Bucks, Council Rock, and New Hope – Solebury. This project is more than a renovation; as a career and technical center, students will have the opportunity to use the new space for collaboration and integration in their program areas of study.”
Students in the Horticulture, Landscape and Design program will learn their skills alongside their instructor Mr. Greg Smith, and Facilities Manager, Mr. Warren Anders on how to design and enhance the space with landscape design.
Change for Change
It's that time of year again! The Automotive and Collision programs at MBIT will be collecting change for the whole month of November to help the Auto Dealers Caring for kids foundation drive away the cold by purchasing NEW coats for kids in need around the Delaware Valley!
This year the faculty and students had the opportunity to help the foundation hand out new winter coats! They were able to see the smiles on the kids’ faces as they helped drive the cold away!
SkillsUSA Fall Leadership
Thirty-five MBIT students had the opportunity to travel to Pennsylvania’s District 2 SkillsUSA Fall Leadership Conference held at the Kalahari Resort in the Poconos. Students were able to participate in leadership skill-building, teamwork, and problem-solving. The conference encourages district unity and school spirit!

MBIT sees record interest in career and technical education at Open House
Opening MBIT to visitors for this year’s Annual Open House allowed us to again see the tremendous interest among students in our communities. After two years of virtual open houses, we were excited to welcome the community back to our campus to see the incredible programs, equipment, and resources we have to offer.
The information sessions were well attended by prospective students and their families, learning the benefits of attending a Career & Technical Education school like MBIT.
“We were thrilled to see such interest in our career and technical offerings at MBIT. It was great to see prospective students and their parents learning about all of the opportunities that exist at MBIT from our current students. At MBIT we are “preparing tomorrow’s workforce today” with modern equipment and industry-recognized content that give our students a competitive advantage in the workplace. Career and technical education is certainly on the rise and MBIT has twenty-one world class programs that are designed to provide students with the skills and certifications necessary to become employable in high demand and high wage jobs.” stated Dr. Mark Covelle, Administrative Director
