- Set up a time this week to visit with me with your grade level partner(s) to discuss student behaviors that are affecting classroom instruction. Our goal will be to leave with a plan!
- Principal Monthly Read Aloud for November - The ENERGY BUS for Kids by Jon Gordon (Let me know when I can visit your classroom to read! I really enjoyed reading THE INVISIBLE BOY last month!)
- Personalized Learning Goal(s) - Be thinking about 1-3 goals around INSTRUCTION, CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT, & TECHNOLOGY you would like to focus on for the 17-18 school year.
- Students who do not have documentation in SWIS for the month of November will be entered into a drawing. We will draw (2) students per classroom. Students will be recognized by having their names announced over the intercom, photo on my office window, eating in the Board Room and a small "treat" at lunch!

MISSION MONDAY: (Freshman are greeting THIS WEEK)
- Mission for All - Make a list of 5 things you appreciate about someone in your school and make sure to share the list with that individual. This can also be implemented at home. Make a list of the things you enjoy most about your family, home, etc. To get kids started with this week’s mission, they will each get a sticky note Monday morning and can write what they appreciate or love about Sutherland Elementary. We will post the sticky notes for everyone to see!

- Review your CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS with your students!
- Discuss WHY following the expectations is important.
- How does it help them? their classmates? staff members?

Time to Brag It Up and share the great things that are going on in your classroom. Over the next couple weeks, take a photo of something you are very proud of in your classroom. This could be an instructional strategy that is effective with your students, classroom management strategy/tool, something new you are trying this year, etc. Post the photo along with a brief description on our Google Community page.
