Principal Points

I know that the beginning of the year can be a bit hectic and 2020 is multiplying school start by 100. So, I decided to send out a little more frequent communication to start the year. Please note that Julee Pelot (admin asst) has retired so it's me, myself, and I in the office. I try to answer phones as much as I can, but leave a message if I don't get to it. Also you can email me at cwhooleyjepson@wausauschools.org. I'm pretty good at checking emails.

Please remember our PPF - BE POSITIVE, BE PATIENT, and BE FLEXIBLE. We are all doing our best with all the new pieces in place. Following are some "to dos" to help you get ready for a successful school year.

Yours in partnership

Colleen Whooley Jepson, Principal

Parent Teacher Conferences

Letters have now been mailed to all parents. If you have not received your letter by the time your mail is delivered today, feel free to call the office and I will work with you on setting up a conference with the teacher. 715-261-0965

Change: When you come for conferences, please enter through the doors on the playground NOT door 1. Door 1 will be used as our exit. Doors will be labeled with balloons and grade levels. Don't forget to wear a mask and please don't bring extra siblings. Only the student(s) enrolled at Lincoln and 1 parent should be in attendance. We will ask each family to wash with hand sanitizer as they enter the building.

Parents will meet with the teachers first. We will be directing you through the gym on your way out to finish up paperwork. Tables will be labeled in the gym. Please be sure to follow the 6 foot rule between your family and other families. Since we have a limited number of people coming into the building at a time the gym should never be crowded.

Teachers have put in a TON of work to get you all set up for conferences. As much as we would love to hug our students returning, we must maintain a 6 foot social distance for students. We also ask that students do NOT stop in to see their former teachers.

Students with an IEP (special education) should sign up for 2 conferences: 1 with their homeroom teacher and 1 with their special education teacher.

When you come to parent conferences, please bring:

  • a backpack for materials for your child to bring home
  • your own personal device (i.e. iphone). - staff will show you how to log in to the parent portal of SeeSaw. (if you have time, you may want to download the app to your personal device before arriving at school).

When you come to parent conferences, you will learn:

  • more about the teacher
  • more about school expectations (we will be virtual 8:30-3:30)
  • more about SeeSaw school app

When you come to parent conferences, you will be given:

  • student I-pad
  • student schedule
  • supplies for learning from science, art, music, and regular education

Our hope is that virtual learning will be so learner friendly that students will not require much/if any parental help (except for maybe our kindergarteners - and even them for just a short time). Students can attend from daycare (if they are in a daycare facitily), at home, or wherever else they may be during the days.

Free/Reduced Lunches - SIGN UP ON PAYPAMS

Lincoln families will continue to qualify for free breakfast and lunch; HOWEVER, Lincoln families absolutely MUST sign up their family on the Paypams site (listed below). Families will order food for the week and will choose the pick-up location for this food. There are drop down menus on PayPams for ordering and choosing site location. The Paypams does require student ID which you should be able to find on Infinite Campus website. If you cannot find it, just give me a call 715-261-0965
