Volunteer Appreciation Week is April 18-24!
To show our appreciation, we've put together gift bags that will be given out to volunteers when they check-in to volunteer this month. The gift bag includes a set of note cards designed by Bremerton High School art students, plus small gifts from local businesses who are very supportive of the Bremerton School District including:
Admiral Theatre - A beloved local performing arts venue that offers school-day performances and has generously provided FREE access to online performances for students during the pandemic.
Amy’s Decadent Chocolates - The owner offers a sweet job opportunities for Bremerton High School graduates and has employed many BHS students and graduates for 17 years.
Harvey’s Hot Buttered Rum popcorn - Owned by Bremerton High School graduates.
F.R.O.G. Soap - a generous supporter of the District and many local organizations.
If you see a volunteer, please take a moment to thank them for their time and dedication to our students!
Amber Plummer's skill in athletics, art and life has arrived at Bremerton High
I didn't understand what I was getting into when deciding to interview Amber Plummer, the first-year athletic director at Bremerton High School who is also an excellent artist. I have always been good at athletics and absolutely terrible at art.
BSD recognized as a Best Communities for Music Education
For the third year in a row, the Bremerton School district has been recognized as a Best Communities for Music Education (BCME). The BCME designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students.
This award considers the way our schools and community supports music with special consideration given to funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, support for the music program and community music-making programs. Responses were reviewed by The Music Research Institute at the University of Kansas.
Thank you Bremerton Backpack Brigade!
