CHES FALCON FOCUS

SPRING BREAK PREPARATION

  • Unplug all electronics before leaving. (Candle warmers should never be left on overnight.)
  • Clean all food items out of the refrigerator and cabinets before leaving. We do not want any uninvited guests in the building.
  • Have your classroom clean and organized for a fresh start upon your return!

WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY

Monday March 21st is WDSD. The 21st day of March was chosen as it symbolizes the third copy of the 21st chromosome. I encourage everyone to help us celebrate by wearing blue and yellow (Ds colors) and/or by wearing crazy socks. The wearing of the crazy socks represents celebrating and accepting everyone's differences and uniqueness.

UPDATED WALK THROUGH FORM

RTI IMPLEMENTATION SURVEY

The Hope Street Group (HSG), in partnership with the TDOE, SCORE, and TEA, supports fellowships nationwide designed to seek teacher input on current educational initiatives. This year, three CMCSS teachers – Marc Walls – Northeast High Teacher, Mark Banasiak – Teacher, Sango Elementary, and Nioka Lavigne – Teacher, Barkers Mill Elementary – have served as HSG Fellows.
The HSG Tennessee State Teacher Fellows kicked off their spring data collection last week to collect teacher feedback on the impact of RTI2 implementation and the need to improve interventions overall. In support of this, teachers are invited to complete a brief confidential survey that will inform the work of Tennessee’s HSG fellows in providing recommendations to the state regarding Response to Intervention Instruction.

I am sharing the link below with teachers and invite you to complete this confidential survey regarding RTI implementation. Participation is voluntary, however, it does provide a wonderful opportunity for teacher’s voices to be heard by key policy makers. This survey is open until Sunday, March 13th.
