School Closure
School closure through April
North Middle High School 3/26/2020
On March 24, 2020, Governor Henry McMaster announced that schools will be closed through April 30, 2020. Please see the joint statement below from Governor McMaster and State Superintendent Molly Spearman:
“At this time, students, parents, and families should plan for South Carolina’s schools to remain closed through the month of April. Our dedicated teachers and school administrators have done a tremendous job in making it possible for our students to learn at home. We understand that the prospect of schools remaining closed for an extended period of time places stress and strain on parents and children. Rest assured, if there is any way to safely open our schools earlier, we will do that, but schools must remain closed to protect the health and safety of South Carolinians.”
We will continue our E-Learning/Distance Learning platform. I personally want to thank all teachers, staff, parents, and students for their flexibility during this time. We will update you at a later time about future work for students. Please continue to check our social media and website for more updates. Please pick up work for those students who have not done so. We appreciate your diligence and patience during the school closure. Most of all, I thank you for supporting student learning while juggling every day life during this global health emergency. Together, we will get through this and guide students towards success.
Be safe!
Sincerely,
Kuterah L. Singletary , Ph.D.
