2013 Fergus Falls Youth Summit
The 2013 Fergus Falls Youth Summit is proud to present to you “LUNCHBOX LEADERSHIP,” an event for 6th - 12th grade students, their parents & community members. You are invited to attend the event on Wednesday, May 1st from 5-7p.m. at Kennedy Secondary School.
The event challenges you to challenge your inner-self; start discovering who you are, get hungry for ways in which you can make your life and others better, start trying some different leadership options out, and finally go-all-out with a different lens on how to serve others. Leadership matters. With a community dialog, we will explore how you can impact your life and community forever. Let us help you discover your potential and unique capability to make a difference; you owe it to yourself to attend Lunchbox Leadership.
The evening will progress on with keynote speakers Dr. Sandra Wieser-Matthews and Jeff Morris. Dr. Sandra Wieser- Matthews received the 2012 Minnesota Outstanding Individual in Communication and Theater award from the state Communication and Theater Association. Jeff Morris was named the 2012 National Coach of the Year. Both Dr. Sandra Wieser-Matthews and Coach Jeff Morris are dedicated to serving others and strive to develop the youth they work with to their highest potential.
The evening also features local experts who will offer you opportunities to explore different leadership opportunities. Your first step in leadership will be participating in the food drive at this event. Please come with an item to donate to the Otter Tail County Food Shelf for distribution. We can make a bigger impact if we all share our resources.
A meal will be provided at a price you can afford – FREE. So, please pre-register at http://tinyurl.com/lunchboxleadership (Can be found at the School Store under Community Education- General Interest).
