Field Flash
January 25, 2021
Dear Field Parents and Guardians,
It is hard to believe that we are entering the last week of January! We hope your family is healthy and doing well. We enjoyed welcoming our in-person students back into the building this week, and continuing to support our remote students as well.
This week, Wednesday, January 27th is an in-person day for cohort A.
I'll include our back to in-person reminders for an additional week as we do have some students joining us in February. The reminders focus on the following:
- In-person learning reminders
- Arrival and dismissal information
- Lunch and bus reminders
- Student expectations (presentation and videos) reminders
Thank you for your participation in our new lanyard system for our in-person students. Each morning we will Look for the Lanyard around your child's neck. The lanyard will signal to us that you've conducted the daily health certification. This means you've checked your child's temperature at home and reviewed the symptoms checklist. If your child comes to school without the lanyard, our nurse will check your child's temperature and review the symptoms. We'll follow up with parents via email. Thanks for helping us as we Look for the Lanyard!
For our fully remote students, we are going to continue to offer materials pick-up dates every two weeks, though we are going to manage them in a different way. Moving forward, all materials will be available in the main office and families can come at a time that works for them on Wednesday (8am-3pm), Thursday (8am-4pm), or Friday (8am-4pm). When you arrive, please ring the door bell, provide the children's names, and Ruth or Jillian will put your items in the pass-through door. This week, materials will be ready on Wednesday, January 27th. So if your child is fully remote, please plan to stop by Wednesday-Friday to pick up your items.
Also, our PTO is gathering interest information related to your child's participation in the Field Follies. Please take a moment to complete this form to share your child's interest in participating in the Field Follies. The form closes this weekend, so PTO may determine their next steps with our Follies 2021.
Finally, I'd like to share with you an upcoming Family Virtual Event - our World Read Aloud family reading night on Wednesday, February 3rd at 6:30pm. Check out the save the date below in this newsletter.
We hope you all have a nice weekend!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Courtney Goodman
Principal
