Fulton Focus

For the parents and patrons of the Fulton School District

April 27, 2018

A message from the Superintendent

Dear Parents and Patrons,

State-mandated testing is nearing completion, a great relief for students and teachers. Reports from the buildings and general observations indicate testing has been an event free from factors the Fulton School District can control. Please remind your student(s) that grading continues through the end of school, even though statewide testing has ended. All students should be encouraged to keep working and finish strong!

School continues through May 17! Attendance still counts and is critical for student success and your school district’s State of Missouri Accreditation. Please ensure your student(s) attend school through the remainder of this year!

Finally, yearend is always challenging for discipline. At all levels, we have noted an increase in inappropriate language and threatening behavior. Policy JG-R1 Student Discipline outlines offenses and consequences. This policy will be enforced even on the last day of school. Please encourage your student(s) to exhibit positive, respectful behavior.

This has been a good school year. Thank you for sending us great kids to work with.

Sincerely,

Jacque A. Cowherd, Ed.D.
