IMPORTANT TO KNOW
Please put in your classroom communications that we dress up for the last hour of the day on October 31 for a traditional Halloween Party and parade. Volunteers may set up for the party beginning at 1:30 and the parade will begin for K-3 at 1:45. A parade route will be given out next week.
Halloween Masks
Lesson on Halloween Masks and brief lesson about the cultural beliefs and origination of Trick-or-Treating. (Although we don't have students wear masks during the Halloween parade, I thought the information about the cultural beliefs, etc. could be an interesting discussion.)

Culturally Relevant Teaching
Please join us as the Office of Equity & Inclusion hosts a celebration of the completion of the Culturally Relevant Teaching film series and resource library on TeacherSource.
Culturally Relevant Teaching (CRT) is one of the key components of Culturally Relevant Practice that is identified as a key effort to support our Equity Pillar in the District. You will meet those teachers who were brave enough to be filmed to share their culturally relevant teaching practices, along with the crew who have worked hard to create the film series and resource library, and other educators who are committed to learning how to infuse CRT into their day-to-day practice. This will be a time to celebrate, reflect, and explore the films and resources.
What: Culturally Relevant Teaching: Evening of Celebration and Commitment
When: Tuesday, December 5th
Time: 4:30 - 6 p.m. (A light dinner will be provided!)
Where: Conference Room 1 & 2, Administration Building
