Preparing for college & career - December Issue

Class of 2021 La Follette Local Scholarship Application

LHS seniors planning to continue their education beyond high school at a 2 or 4 year institution are encouraged to apply. Deadline Jan 31st

Creative Writing Contest

Students are invited to submit original work in the following areas:

  • Poetry (One poem of at least 20 lines)

  • Spoken Word (Not longer than 3 minutes)

  • Short Story (750-word minimum - 1500-word maximum)

Open to African-American, Latinx/Hispanic, Native American/American Indian, or Asian/Pacific Islander in grades 6-12. See the link for more details

Guided tours are filled with facts and what to expect from your academic and student life. You'll also meet with an admissions representative.

Preview programs include a campus tour and meeting with representatives from student services offices, admissions, academic departments, and possibly current students.

Seniors: Do not use school email for ANY matters related to life after high school.

Examples: college apps, parchment account, ACT, FAFSA

**School Email becomes inaccessible to graduates 2 wks after graduation
