Mrs. Collette's 6th Grade Class
News from Room 21
Greetings from room 21!!
I hope that everyone enjoyed the Thanksgiving break and spent time with family and friends. I am thankful that I spend my day teaching your children.
In Readers Workshop, we will continue our unit on historical fiction. We will continue our turn and talks and writing in our interactive notebooks. As we read, we are searching for the big ideas and how the setting is important to the story.
In Writers Workshop, we are going to write our personal narrative about a positive, fun time and include many details!
In Social Studies, we are heading to the Central Asia! The project paper will be passed out this week. The students are to design a travel brochure...more details to come.
Parent Teacher conferences are Thursday, December 3, Wednesday, December 9 and Thursday, December 10. We have had many responses and are extending the night conferences 5-7:30. Please contact me or call the office 508 867 8326 to book a time.
Current events are due on Fridays and a signed reading log is due on Mondays. There was no homework over the long weekend-just to spend time with your family!
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me at acollette@nbschools.org.
Enjoy your week!
