What's Going on at Concord Magnet?
HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW ABOUT WHAT GOES ON AT CONCORD MAGNET SCHOOL K-8?
We were wondering how familiar you are about our focus at CMS K-8 and how you receive information about what happens in school. Please click on the link below to answer a quick questionnaire. Please answer these questions as best you can. Remember: ONLY THE TRUTH CAN HELP US IMPROVE!
CMS Halloween Happening!
We will be watching the animated Addam’s Family! The movie should begin by 6:30 (or as soon as it is dark enough!) Please remember to bring a low-back chair and blanket to bundle up! We will be sitting OUTSIDE on the basketball court.
Although there is no costume competition this year, costumes are still encouraged! If you have not pre-paid, please remember to bring cash to pay at the door. As part of our fundraiser, concessions and pizza-by-the-slice will be available to purchase. The pizza will be $2.50 per slice, and concessions will be priced between $1-$2 CASH ONLY. If you could bring small bills, that would be great! We will have change, but smaller bills are always helpful.
Halloween at Concord Magnet
We will celebrate Halloween on Monday, October 31. Because there is a 2-hour Early Dismissal on Halloween, we will have our traditional parade first thing in the morning. This will give parents the opportunity to attend.
Here are the details:
- Students should come to school dressed in their costumes.
- If they cannot wear their costumes to school, we will give them time to dress upon arrival.
- Please keep in mind that costumes must be appropriate for school, no weapons, blood, or inflatables; and children must be able to sit comfortably at their desks and use the bathroom without assistance.
- After morning announcements and attendance, classrooms will be invited to meet outside on the field.
- Markers will be placed on the field so classes will know where to stand.
- Classes will parade around the field and then return to their classrooms.
- Our Halloween activities will conclude once the students are back in their classrooms.
- All children are encouraged to attend school on Halloween. Accommodations will be made during the parade for all students who do not celebrate.
School Photo Update!
School pictures were placed in teachers' mailboxes today. If you did not receive your child's pictures today, they should come home tomorrow. Class pictures must be reprinted and will be sent home when we receive them.
Picture Retake Day is Wednesday, November 2, 2022.
