Mrs. Hook

2nd grade

A little about me:

My name is Joe Hook, and I grew up in Goldthwaite, TX. I went to college at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX, where I received my B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with specialties in Reading and Physical Education. The next year I earned my MEd, which enables me to be a principal. I have taught many levels and subjects over the 17 years I have been in education. I have taught 9th and 10th grade Language Arts, 7th grade math, 6th grade P.E., coached Varsity basketball and track, kindergarten, and for the last 4 years 2nd grade.

My husband, Jody, and I have one son, Jordan, who is a sophomore at Brock High School. We spend much of our free time watching him play football and baseball, which is awesome for us, because we love sports so much and supporting our Brock Eagles!! When we have a chance, we play golf and like to spend time outdoors. When he is not having games, we like to watch college and professional football and baseball, where Jordan gets to spectate with us.

I like to cook and work in my yard. Flowers and great food make me happy! Drinking coffee makes my mornings great. Your children will probably mention my pets; I have a sugar glider, named, Snickers and an Albino Leopard Gecko; we call Leo or "The Lizard". They love watching him hunt live crickets and petting her soft fur.

My students become members of my family and I love them like my own. I always feel proud watching their future accomplishments; and I feel confident that they know they always have me supporting them.
