Weekly Community Updates - May 19, 2023
Dear Students and Families,
Today, students received their yearbooks and gathered in the courtyard for a yearbook signing event. It really is the mark of the end of the school year!
We are all looking forward to Oceana's graduation next week. Our seniors have worked so hard for the past four years and we wish them luck on their next stage.
As for our 9th - 11th graders, we are entering the last full week of the school year. We hope their final full week goes well and they are looking forward to summer. Please be sure to register your student now so the first day of school goes smoothly for your student. Access registration through your Parentvue account. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Galea, OHS Registrar (cgalea@jeffersonunion.net).
I hope everyone has a nice weekend.
Take care,
Maritza Torres

JUHSD Student Advisory Council Application
We give feedback on district decisions and work on our own projects to present to the board. Some of our past presentations have been on the topics of school safety, going green, facilities, student mental health, counseling, available programs, and school culture. Student trustees can give direct feedback at public board meetings too. Being apart of this team will allow you to voice your school concerns and present ideas about how to make change! The application is due by Wednesday, May 31st.
