Some of the sports they like to play are table tennis, basketball and soccer. They also play a game called Mahjong. It is a game of skill that is played with tiles that are small.

Soccer, along with some other sports, is part of the school curriculum. Soccer is one of the most popular sports in China.

Yao Ming was drafted by the Houston Rockets. He was 7'6''. He played for China's Olympic team in 2000 and in the FIBA World Championships in 2002. Yao Ming was #11. Both his parents were professional basketball players in China.
Pung! Chow! Kong!
Mahjong is a game of skill that is played in China. A "pung" is a set of three identical tiles. A "chow" is a three tiles of the same suit and consecutive numbers. A "kong" is four identical tiles in a set.
Recreation in China
When it is warm out, people in China like to relax and play games. They also fly kites, read, and practice musical instruments in warm weather. They also do Arts & Crafts.
