Why the Changes?
- East Ridge Elementary is opening for the 2024-2025 school year,
- Overcrowding in elementary buildings, and
- Balancing student populations in our feeder schools,

SPONSOR A FAMILY - Donation deadline is December 9.
The main source of help is through monetary donations. Each dollar given is used to support families in need. If you are willing to donate to help this cause, please turn in donations no later than December 9, 2023.

COACH CLUBB NAMED GAZETTE COACH OF THE YEAR FOR VOLLEYBALL
Congratulations Coach Clubb for being named the Gazette 2023 Volleyball Coach of the year!!
Jackie Clubb, who piloted Clear Creek Amana to a 46-1 record and a spot in the 4A semifinals, was selected as the area coach of the year.
Players Bliss Beck and Meg Berkland were both named to the 2023 Gazette all-area Volleyball team.
MH Bliss Beck, 6-2, sr., Clear Creek Amana — Averaged 3.89 kills and 0.90 blocks per set with a .464 kill efficiency and .966 service accuracy as the Clippers (46-1) reached the Class 4A state semifinals. IGCA 4A first-team all-stater and a Drake University signee.
L Meg Berkland, 5-3, sr., Clear Creek Amana — Averaged 4.91 digs per set as the Clippers (46-1) reached the Class 4A state semifinals. IGCA 4A first-team all-stater.
HIGH SCHOOL NEWS AND UPDATES
8TH GRADE PARENT/STUDENT NIGHT ON JANUARY 29, 2024
The High School is hosting an 8th Grade Parent/Student Night on January 29 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in the high school PAC. They will provide information about high school in general and talk about courses and schedules. They are encouraging students to attend with parents/guardians. This is a great opportunity to hear about what high school is all about.
When: January 29
Time: 6:30pm - 7:30pm
Place: High School Performing Arts Center
NEW DISMISSAL HOURS FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL STARTING JANUARY 3, 2024
RE: New High School hours starting January 3, 2024.
In the attempt to relieve traffic congestion at the end of the school day, the High School will be released 5 minutes earlier, allowing more time between the release of the middle school and high school.
The new High School day will be as follows:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:20 am to 3:25 pm
Wednesday 8:20 am to 1:25 pm

Deep clean closets or cupboards together
Make a movie watch list
Make a list of all the things you want more of in 2024
Have a screen free day/social media free day
Bake together
Ask family members for favorite recipes
Bundle up and take a hike at a park
Look through photos together
Learn to draw together
Create a family vision board
Sing holiday songs together
Learn to upcycle old t-shirts into dog toys
Reach out to a neighbor and plan something together- help with a chore, dinner, walk
Enjoy the moments you have together! Talk about those who are no longer with your family this year and use their name, look through their photos and share memories.
Remember to make taking care of YOU a priority!

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR 2024-2025 SCHOOL CALENDAR
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Directors of the Clear Creek Amana Community School District will conduct a public hearing on the 2024-25 School Calendar. The public hearing will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Administration Building, 1486 Hwy 6 NW, Oxford, Iowa. At the time and place of the public hearing, interested individuals will be given the opportunity to express their views, both orally and in writing, on the proposed 2024-25 School Calendar. This notice is given by order of the Clear Creek Amana Board of Directors.
