UBMS Weekly Update
April 29, 2016
2015-2016 THEME: "HAVE THE COURAGE TO SUCCEED!"
This Week's "UB Special" Award!
This week’s UB Special Award goes to XANDER GOCHENAUR.
Xander is a Junior student at Fondy Central who is consistent in writing his reflection papers; they prove without a doubt that he is thinking about his future and taking his participation in the UBMS program seriously. He shows his responsibility by being one of a few students who stops by our office to drop forms off to ensure we have them on a timely basis. Because he finds value in our program, Xander has initiated visits for program staff to go to his school to meet with other students and invite them to hear about the services we have to offer. Xander is passionate about cats and dedicates a lot of time fostering care and volunteering at the Waupun Area Animal Shelter. He is currently taking care of a new litter of kittens that his foster cat very recently delivered. His dedication to the Sabre Gardens carried through after last summer's program when he came back in August to help Dr. Morris finish up his summer project. Xander continues to quietly do great things and that is why he deserves this week's "UB Special" Award. Please join us in congratulating him!
Our Family is Growing!
BAILEY CARPENTER is a Freshmen who joins us from Horace Mann.
SYDNEY VANG is a Freshmen who joins us from Fondy High.
Bailey and Sydney will be great additions to our program. We are happy to have them join our UBMS Family. WELCOME!
Both of these students were referred by others in the program. We encourage everyone to make the same referrals! Invite your friends to join! We are still accepting applications.

April Reflection Papers Due - MAY 9th
We are anxious to hear what students thought of the Money Smart Week presentation by Mrs. Klemm from National Exchange Bank. If you did not attend this required program, please watch your emails for the make-up assignment that Chris will be sending you.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS for May's REQUIRED PROGRAM
We've been listening to your requests and happy to have four panelists confirmed already from the areas of technology, journalism, engineering, and physical therapy.
Come prepared with questions AND pen and paper - again, it would be a good time to dust off your white binders and fill them with valuable information.
This notice is being given to you nearly one month in advance. It is a required event. We ask that you make every effort to be there. Thanks for your cooperation.
Fondy Seniors will be excused if attending their Senior Awards Banquet that evening.

Celebrate Marian Weekend - April 29-31, 2016
2–6:30 p.m. Live Music (Naber Hall grass area)
2 p.m. Chasin‘ Mason — Since their formation in 2003, the Wisconsin-based group has wasted little time establishing themselves as one of the hottest up and coming bands in country music.
3:45 p.m. Young Rising Sons — Fueled by a fierce
chemistry and brother-like camaraderie, Red Bank, New Jersey- based foursome Young Rising Sons deliver anthemic alt-rock that's uplifting and infectious but unshakably honest.
5:30 p.m. Sammy Adams — Boston's Sammy Adams caused quite a stir in 2010 when his debut album topped the online hip-hop charts the week of its release. It's with that joy and energy that Adams approaches his career as a pop artist.
During the afternoon, there will also be great entertainment opportunities including bubble soccer, caricature artists, spin art frisbees and more! All events will be in the Naber Grass area. In the case of inclement weather, we will be located at the Stayer Center Parking Lot.
