Dice and Dominos are in the 1st grade and PreK pod. Each kindergarten and 1st grade classroom should have gotten a bag with 12 sets of dominoes and 6 trays of dice.
Eureka Math modules were delivered to the pods
Please be sure to get what you need and store extras in your grade level closets
Open Court readers were ordered and delivered to the pods
Please be sure to get what you need and store extras in your grade level closets
Jacqui and Jeannie have spent hours updating and organizing the reading closet. This summer, many more books were ordered and bagged. Thank you to Jacqui and Jeannie for all your hard work in making this space so much more useful! You should find that guided reading books are much easier to locate. I will order more books - especially level AA. Please share with me your wants/wishes for guided reading books.

See Saw news
Hello!
I thought I’d share this upcoming Seesaw webinar with you as it relates specifically to Chromebooks and what’s new with the platform:
"Seesaw is better than ever on Chromebooks! Whether you are new to using Chromebooks or have been cruising with them in your classroom for months, join us for quick tips. We will share ideas for easy student sign in cards, quick access to multiple Seesaw classes, and taking photos. We’ll show you how our new Chrome extension “Reflect in Seesaw” allows students to quickly capture work from their browser window and drop it directly into Seesaw's creative canvas for further annotation and reflection.
If you are not able to make the live webinar, register and you will receive the recording via email the day after the live webinar. All registered attendees and absentees receive the recording. There is no need to email us for the recording if you are registered. "

Acknowledge inappropriate behavior every time. This doesn't mean that everything has to be written up as a minor or a major, but inappropriate behavior cannot be ignored!
Community Outreach - Leadership Opportunity
I am looking for a small group of staff members to head up a grandparent or senior community member volunteer program. The idea was that we could reach out to surrounding community organizations (Thomas Place?) to drum up interest and the volunteers who show an interest would be shared building-wide. The volunteers would work directly with our students. A program like this would require training for our volunteers so that they can effectively help our students as well. We could also say thank you at the end of the year by hosting a luncheon for the volunteers.
This committee would work to ensure we are honoring our community members for important holidays like Veterans Day with an assembly or other activities since we generally attend school on that day.
Please let me know if this is something you would be interested in organizing for our school next year.
Thank you!!!
