Summer Book Checkout
To promote reading all summer, students have the opportunity to check out up to 15 books. These books can be enjoyed all summer. They are due back September 6, 2019 for the start of the new school year.
Books may be checked out beginning June 3rd-June 7th, if all previously checked out books have been returned.
All 15 books must be checked out at the same time.
Books must be returned to the school at the start of the school year, September 6, 2018.
Parents must sign the agreement below stating that all books will be returned on time.
It would be helpful to bring a sturdy bag or box to carry the books home and store them in for the summer.
If you would like your child to be able to bring books home for the summer, please sign and complete the form linked HERE.
New Family Mentor Program Volunteers Needed
McKinley's New Family Mentor Program connects existing McKinley families with families new to McKinley with the goal of welcoming new families to the school as well as providing a resource for information and questions throughout the school year.
In order to make this program successful, we are in need of veteran McKinley families to volunteer to be mentor families this year. The time commitment is minimal and the impact is lasting. Please consider becoming a Mentor Family by contacting Paige Brown at brownpa@wauwatosa.k12.wi.us

Student Artwork Coming Home!
Dear McKinley Families,
It has been a productive year in the art room!
All that productivity has created some amazing pieces of art and it is almost time for your child’s own personal art show. Please send a bag, larger than grocery store size, for your daughter or son to take home their art.
Art will come home starting the week of 5/20.
Thank you for another wonderful year.
Ms. Leigh
