Dallas ISD Core Beliefs

  • Our main purpose is to improve student academic achievement.
  • Effective instruction makes the most difference in student academic performance.
  • There is no excuse for poor quality instruction.
  • With our help, at risk students will achieve at the same rate as non-at risk students.
  • Staff members must have a commitment to children and a commitment to the pursuit of excellence.

Campus Action Plan

Key Actions

  1. Allen Elementary will increase student achievement by providing purposeful instruction in Reading, Mathematics, Writing, and Science.

  2. Improve the quality of instruction by increasing rigor and student engagement.

  3. Allen Elementary will improve positive perception of school climate and culture by all stakeholders including students, staff, parents and community.

Building Blocks to Success!

The "Education, Go Get It Week" was celebrated at Gabe P. Allen this week. We are committed to guide our students towards college awareness and readiness. To encourage our students to plan for higher education we did the following:

Monday: “Believing is Achieving” Staff members wore graduation cap/cap & gown and shared information with students regarding their college experiences.

Tuesday: “Magic Number, When will you graduate? “Students created a classroom/hallway display depicting the year that they will graduate from high school.

Wednesday: “Hats off to Education” Staff and students wore a hat or hat with a college logo.

Thursday: “Dress for Success” Students dressed up as their future career.

Friday: “Off to College We Go” – Staff and students wore their favorite college T-shirt, sweat shirt or jersey.

Thank you to all staff members for your commitment to help students learn about their higher education opportunities.

Proud to be an Eagle!

PTA Meeting

The overall purpose of PTA is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. We celebrated our first PTA meeting last Thursday. Our parents are awesome and they support our school. We had 120 families that attended. We recognized our Super Star Students of the month and our teachers were there to support our families and students. I'm impressed with our Gabe Allen community. We are going to have a successful school year with the support of our parents.
