ELC Family Newsletter
February 2023
Updates from Mrs. Porter
Greetings ELC Families,
2023 is off to a great start here at the ELC! We are excited for all of the fun things the second semester brings. We look forward to parent-teacher conferences in February. Teachers will be sending out sign-ups this week so please be on the lookout to get signed up. We strive for 100% attendance and hope to meet this goal.
Our Valentine's Day parties are approaching soon. We would like to invite grown-ups into the building on February 14th to join our Valentine's Day parties. As we did for our fall/winter parties, one grown-up per child will be permitted to attend the party for their child. There are no children/siblings to attend the parties, with the exception of infants that can be worn in a carrier. We ask that if a parent brings an infant that the child's stroller stays in the hallway during the party.
Party times are as follows:
Morning Session - 10:15-10:45
Afternoon Session - 2:30-3:00
The link to pre-register to attend your child's Valentine's Day party is available here. This information will be sent out again via Skyward closer to the party date. Pre-registering will help us save time and move the check-in process along quicker. All visitors need to bring their ID for entry.
April is also packed with fun. We are excited to celebrate The Week of the Young Child April 3-7th. Details about the fun filled week will be shared in early March. Our PTO is sponsoring our End of the Year Celebration on April 21st from 5:00-6:30. Be sure to save the date! We are looking for volunteers to help plan this amazing event. Please contact our PTO if you are interested in volunteering.
Thank you to each of you for sharing your child with us during the most important years of their development. We appreciate the continued support as we strive to offer the best early childhood experience for your child(ren).

Important Car Line Reminder
Safety is a top priority for us here at the ELC. We have a very firm policy that all of the cars in the carline must have a car sign issued by our school. We understand that it can be inconvenient should the adult picking up your child not have a car sign and need to enter the school. Please be sure to communicate this policy to grandparents and other adults that help with picking up your child from school. Thank you for your help and continued support of our important safety measures. If you are ever in need of an additional car sign, please contact our building secretary, Michele Jeselnik at mjeselnik@usd458.org.
