CONFERENCES

McKinley conferences will be Tuesday, October 16, and Thursday, October 18, from 3 pm to 8 pm. You do NOT need to sign up ahead of time, and you may speak to as many teachers as you wish.


Students can attend conferences.


If you have not E-Registered your student, you can do so in the main office. If students are not E-Registered, they will not be able to go on field trips. In addition, it's important for the school to have current contact information.


Tickets for Beauty and the Beast Jr. will also be on sale in the main office. Performances are Thursday, October 25, and Friday, October 26.

MCKINLEY'S SAFE HALLOWEEN

McKinley's staff and student leadership team would like to invite the community to join them for trick-or-treating, spooky science experiments and Halloween crafts. Students must be accompanied by an adult. Students arriving without a parent or guardian will not be allowed to enter. Feel free to call with any questions: (319) 558-2348.

Thank you to all who supported our fall fundraising campaign. We appreciate your support.

Orders are still coming in, but we have netted over $5,000 for McKinley.

SEND YOUR HY-VEE RECEIPTS ELECTRONICALLY

It's very easy to do.


E-mail your electronic Hy-Vee receipt to Mckhyvee@gmail.com.


To sign up for electronic receipts, go to https://www.hy-vee.com/perks/. Once you log in, it will bring you to your customer profile. Towards the bottom of the first column, it will ask you if you want to receive a digital receipt. Click yes.


If you send your receipts electronically, you do not need to drop them off at the main office.


Share McKinley’s Hy-Vee Receipt e-mail address with family, friends, neighbors, etc.


Money from the Hy-Vee Cash 4 Student program is used towards purchasing items for the bear paw store. For those new to McKinley, we believe in acknowledging students for exemplifying the BEAR way. Our positive acknowledgement system centers on the use of BEAR paws. Students can use BEAR paws for various incentives including pizza parties on Friday’s as well as purchasing items at the BEAR paw store.

PICTURE RE-TAKES

Picture Re-takes will be on Friday, October 12. This is for students who did not take their picture last time as well as those who want to redo their picture. Order forms are available in the Main Office. Students who want re-takes should bring their packet of photos with them on Friday.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Jr. TICKETS

Beauty and the Beast Jr. tickets will go on sale at the main office beginning Monday, October 15. Reserved tickets will be $5.

WINTER SPORTS - ATTENTION 7TH AND 8TH GRADERS

Students who will be participating in winter sports need to have a current physical and concussion form on file with the health office. If you need a copies of the forms, CLICK HERE.

SAVE HY-VEE RECEIPTS FOR MCKINLEY

Recently Hy-Vee presented award checks to all schools participating in the Cash 4 Students fundraising program. McKinley's check was for 1409.89! A huge thank you for all the students, families, and staff that turned in their Hy-Vee receipts. McKinley will continue in the program so keep saving your receipts! We will accept receipts from April 1, 2018 until March 31 of 2019. Feel free to drop off receipts this summer to the main office. For more details, please see the flyer below. Encourage family members, friends, and your co-workers to save receipts for McKinley, too! Thanks for your support.
