Holiday Parties-December 20th

Our holiday parties are during the student's large group times. The activities include inflatables, face painting, games, etc. The PTO is asking for holiday party volunteers, to assist with the activities. You must volunteer to attend your student's party. Parents are not allowed to attend the parties, unless you volunteer.

Please see flyer below with sign up information and party times. The flyer was also sent home with all students on Friday, December 6th.

Thank you to Walmart on Spring Cypress for donating the cookies, candy canes, hot chocolate and marshmallows for all of our students to enjoy during their holiday party.

Holiday Adoption Program

Our donations for the Cy-Hope Holiday Adoption Program are still being collected. Volunteers will begin wrapping gifts next week, and the gifts will be delivered to Walker Elementary the following week. Thank you for your generosity with helping to provide a Christmas for students in CFISD. All classroom teachers have reached out via email to parents to share the specific information about how they are sponsoring their adopted student. We look forward to sharing pictures of the delivery with you afterwards!

Mulitcultural Festival

We are excited to host the 3rd Annual Multicultural Festival at Robison on Tuesday, January 14 at 6:00 pm. We'd love to have families participate. RSVP forms were sent home with students on Friday, December 6, there is also a copy below. The evening will consist of food tasting, learning about the cultures of our families, and there will also be a fashion show for those interested. Come on out and bring your family to this fun event!

Holiday Shoppe Information

A wonderful opportunity for your child to experience the joy of giving during the holiday season. Your child will have the opportunity to shop during school hours on 12/9-12/13 and during family night on 12/10 4pm-7pm.

Adopt a Rescue

Stop! Wait! Before you cast last year’s plush animal toy to the wayside, give it some new life. While you start cleaning and clearing space for the holidays, please take a peak in those closets for some discarded and gently used plush animal toys (teddy bears, plush dogs / cats, etc.) and donate to our Rocketfest Adopt a Rescue. We will be accepting new / gently used plush toys from now through March 6 to be re-adopted at our Family Fun Fair. Please be reasonable in size. We will have baskets in the teacher homerooms for rescue collections.

Calling all Supers

Do you ever feel like you have super hero powers? We have a ‘super’ theme for our upcoming and exciting Spring Family Fall Festival. We need your ‘super’ powers and talented crafty skills to create Super Hero decorations with either a ‘Cricut crafting machine’ or ‘hand drawn’ or the like to decorate our halls and Boardwalk game posters. Get creative and start crafting some supers such as The Incredibles, Hulk, Superman, Captain Marvel, Pokémon (they can be heroes too), or even some villains, etc. Please send these creations to school with your child from now through March 6. We will have baskets in the teacher homerooms for collections.
