Words from our Principal
Today the first progress report of the year was sent home. Please review your student's grades with him/her and reach out to teachers and counselors if you have questions. They are many opportunities for tutoring and interventions after school, at lunch, and on Saturdays. These progress reports are just a snap shot of where your student is now. All grades can be improved for the November progress report and before final grades are issued in December. Don't wait!
On Tuesday night at 5:30pm we will host our next Middle School Success 101 session. The topic will be anxiety and depression. This topic is one that is impacting many of our students and this presentation is designed to help parents support their kids. The presenters will cover what anxiety looks like and ways to cope and will also explore how social media and anxiety and depression are linked. Please don't miss this important meeting!
If you are available to support BVM sports tomorrow morning, all of our teams will be competing at Olympian High School. Baseball and softball begin at 8am, Cross Country starts at 9am, and football starts at 12pm. Come and cheer for all of our athletes and cheerleaders.
Wishing you a safe and happy weekend. Thank you for all of your support.
Sincerely,
Teresa Kramer
School Highlights
Spirit Day- Tuesday
In it to Win it!
On August 24, we had a full morning of BVM sports. Proud of our athletes today. Their hard work and sportsmanship showed on the field!
Culture Building Assembly
We gathered our band, choir, cheerleaders, teachers, and awesome Crusaders for a culture building assembly and spirit competition. What a fun way to reinforce our core values with our students!
Voicing our Thoughts!
Our students get to express their opinions/concerns and provide an argument in regards to animal testing. Thank you Ms. Mendez for holding this Socratic Seminar!
Crusader Pride
School spirit is in many ways the heart of a school. Pride is a school spirit synonym because it helps foster a sense of belonging among students and staff who are part of the school. It is often a direct reflection of a school's culture, which can serve as a powerful influence on overall academic performance.
Thank you Elijah Alarcon for always showing school pride and spirit!
Crusaders, remember to participate in Spirit Days on Tuesdays, College Gear Thursdays and wear your CRUSADER BLUE Fridays!
Programming the Future
Mr. Dougherty's Robotics kids received new kits and are so excited! Robotics helps address the growing demand for teaching science, technology, engineering and math in schools. By programming the robot, students also learn about science, engineering and math and get an understanding of how these subjects link together.

keeping our crusaders positive
School culture and school climate are intangible, but essential elements within a school environment. Positive school cultures provide a safe, supportive, encouraging, inviting, and challenging environment for students and staff, which in turn allows students’ academic achievement to evolve. Our amazing Culture and Climate committee will ensure that our Crusaders learn in a positive and happy environment.
