How Will I Reduce, Reuse, or Recycle?

  • reduce the time I spend in the shower
  • reuse things usually thrown in the trash (paper, cardboard boxes, etc.)
  • recycle plastic bottles, paper, and aluminum cans

Earth Day History

Earth Day was first celebrated 1970. Senator Gaylord Nelson designated April 22 as a "national day for the environment". He was a passionate advocate of protecting the environment and increasing awareness of environmental issues.
