Early Literacy PLC
Join us and other educators in a professional learning community (PLC) to learn and share ideas that will enhance your early literacy instructional practices. At each PLC we will focus on one of these topics: Phonological Awareness, Word Recognition, and Reading Connected Text. These PLCs will give you an opportunity to learn and share what literacy instructional practices are effective and necessary as we build the skills of our readers.

Let's talk about teaching students to decode, analyze and write words. We will walk through the instructional recommendations and resources for blending, sound-spelling patterns, and breaking words into smaller, meaningful word parts to enhance your students' skills. In this PLC, literacy educators will be given the opportunity to learn, share and reflect on best practices necessary for early literacy skill development.

Early Literacy PLC on Reading Connected Text
December 8, 2021 (3:30 PM to 5:30 PM)

Let's discuss reading comprehension using connected text to develop accuracy, fluency, and understanding. We will explore instructional recommendations and resources to help you improve and enhance your literacy instruction. In this PLC, teachers will be given an opportunity to learn, share, and reflect on the best practices necessary for early literacy skill development.
Audience: General and Special Education Teachers of K-3rd.
