Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929, in Atlanta Georgia. On May, 1941 his grandmother died of a heart attack which almost lead him to suicide. On 1944 he skipped ninth and eleventh grades. He was a Civil Rights Activist for equal rights for black people. He announced his “I Have a Dream” speech which persuaded many people to give blacks equal rights. He was a pivotal role for the creation of the Civil Rights of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Then he earned and received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964. In the end on April 4th, 1968 he was assassinated for his beliefs of giving black people rights as white people had at that time.
