Last Day of School

The school day missed because of the tornado will be made up at the end of the year. The students' last day will be Tuesday, May 31st.

We Need Your Plastic

Please help us recycle and earn a bench for our school! We have collected almost half of the 2,000 needed items. As a reminder, we need #2 plastics that are not see-through (no more milk jugs). Usually, coffee containers, cleaners, and detergents are made with this kind of plastic. Even the Chick-fil-A and Subway Milk containers count!!!! Keep them coming. We hate to miss out on a free bench for our school.

Family Music Page- Updated Musical Info found here

Be sure to watch for updated information on Mrs. Low's page. Second-grade information is posted.

Counseling Lesson Theme- Perseverance

For the month of April, we are focusing on the word perseverance. Perseverance is the drive to keep working even when things get hard and you want to quit.

Practice it!

Help your child learn to persevere by engaging in difficult tasks with him/her. Buy a large puzzle, learn and perfect a new skill, etc.. Find something to do together and commit to pushing each other through the challenge.

Read About it!

  • The Curious Garden by Peter Brown

  • The Most Magnificent Thing by Ashley Spires

  • The Dot by Peter Reynolds

Talk About it!

  • What do you think perseverance means and why is it important?

  • Tell me about a time when it was hard to get through a challenge. How did you feel afterward?

  • What are some things that are hard for you to push through, and how can I help you?

  • What are 3 goals you have? What may be some challenges to meeting these goals? What will happen if you don’t give up?

Kindergarten STEM Club

It is finally Kindergarten's turn to have some fun with STEM! Students will be able to use their hands and learn about science and engineering skills. It will be for four weeks. Please do not sign up if your child can't make each session. This is a continuous learning curriculum and if they miss a day, they miss a lot. We will meet from 3:15-4:15. May 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th. Your child will need to be picked up promptly outside the blue hallway door (4th and 5th-grade blue hallway). They will be taken to Mrs. Stubbs in the blue hallway at the walker bell. (I will have a student walk down and get them the first few times.)
There is limited space because of materials, so please sign up as soon as possible. If you have any questions, please email me at Please use this form to sign up.
