Materials Return
You received this link from Kevin Lyons to a Google sheet to copy and fill in with all textbooks and novels you have checked out to students. Candace Neal is taking care of the library books. Your completed sheet should then be shared with Kevin by next Tuesday at noon.
Kevin will also be asking for volunteers to help with the collection process.
Message to Parents about Materials Exchange
This information is about to go out to the community, so I wanted everyone to be aware of next week’s schedule.
***For both next week and the graduation photo event (See info below.), we will be needing volunteers. Please consider helping when Kevin Lyons and Andy Jacob reach out.
Hello Wildcat Students and Families.
As we wind up this year – and what a year it has been – we have several administrative steps to complete regarding the return of materials to school and picking up a last few items.
These steps will take place at several different times. I apologize if that means you will be making several trips to school. In order to plan for safe traffic flow, we are having to separate several steps. Please click on embedded links to complete information as needed and sign up for a time to return items.
All safety precautions must be followed:
- Please wear a face covering when picking up or returning student materials.
- Follow COVID-19 preventative practices as advised by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
- Please stay in your vehicle. Follow the curbside process provided by your campus.
- Please do not come to the campus if you have been ill, if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the past 14 days, or if you are currently under isolation/quarantine orders.
Uniforms, art work, other materials: If your student is involved in art, ROTC, band, choir, orchestra, drill team, cheer, medical science, and/or ag, the teacher will be reaching out to you and your student to set up a time to pick up/return materials. Those times will fall between now and next Wednesday morning.
Textbooks, library books, Chromebooks: We will be picking up books and Chromebooks/chargers on the following days:
Wednesday, May 20, 2-6 p.m.
Thursday, May 21, 8:30-4 p.m.
Friday, May 22, 10-6 p.m.
Tuesday, May 26, 10-2 p.m.
Use this Sign Up Genius form to select a time to return books and Chromebook/charger. Please complete this form by the end of the day Tuesday, May 19. At the time of your appointment, enter the bus lane off Independence. See map below.
Chromebooks: Because you may need to use the Chromebook this summer (summer school, eSchool, credit by exam), please complete this Google Form by the end of the day, Tuesday May 19, to let us know your plans. Ultimately, all chromebooks and chargers must be returned by July 29.
Click here to see what library books are checked out to you. Contact your teacher if you have questions about a textbook or novel.
Holds: All materials must be returned. For Juniors, schedules for the 20-21 year will be held until holds are cleared. For seniors, holds must be cleared in order to receive your diploma.
Yearbooks: If you ordered a yearbook, you will also pick it up after dropping of the textbooks. Please indicate your purchase on that same sign up form linked above.
*****IMPORTANT: Please have your student’s First Name Last Name written in large letters with a marker on a sheet of paper in your front window.
Attention Seniors:
*****A note about the graduation celebration on June 2-3: a sign up form will be coming out late next week for you to pick a time for your student to come to campus and walk the stage. That sign up will come out through school messenger, enews, and be on the website.
Additionally, information about honor stoles available to purchase for honor graduates (gpa 3.6 or higher) will be forthcoming.

2020 Graduation Event Details
- Graduates and up to four guests will be invited to arrive at their respective schools at an appointed time. Social distancing and health screening protocols will be observed throughout this onsite process.
- Schools will contact students and families with details on how to obtain an appointment time. It is important that all participants honor their appointment in order to provide a meaningful graduation experience for all.
- Each student’s personalized experience will include having their name read, walking across the stage in full graduation regalia and receiving their diploma cover from a family member. This moment will be captured by a videographer for the ceremony video.
- All four guests will be allowed onstage with the graduate, or may opt to stand in front of the stage. No guests will be seated.
- A keepsake family photo will be captured onstage and an individual graduate portrait will be captured upon leaving the stage.
- Following the photographs, a graduation cap toss will be filmed for the ceremony video before the graduate and guests exit the building.
- The footage gathered will culminate in a graduation video ceremony to share with students and families.
- In-person graduation dates for senior high schools (August 1) and Academy High School (July 21) are still reserved in the event that we can bring graduates together in a venue, safely accommodating the large size of our senior high graduating classes and their guests.
